Well worth the effort
If you explore the unique Wadden Sea area at your leisure, it quickly becomes clear why this is a World Heritage Site.
The Wadden Sea and wadden coast offer you opportunities for many excursions. Beautiful fauna: try to discover the white-tailed eagle. And beautiful flora: walk the orchid route. What you see there in May, June and July, is anyone’s guess.
Cross the mudflats to one of the Wadden Islands. By boat or via an organized walk. And if you find a crossing on foot too difficult or too long: a wandering on the mudflats also leaves an indelible impression. Under supervision, of course.
In the activity centre you can get acquainted with the Lauwersmeer National Park in a relaxed way. Canal cruises, a full moonwalk or playing in the play forest. It’s all there. Open on Sundays. In the holiday periods open from Tuesday to Sunday.
